ECSDAThe Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) was accepted as observer of the European Central Securities Depositories Association (ECSDA) at the General Meeting on February 1, 2008. This decision allowed AECSD to participate in the activities of another association, which serves as a unique example of international cooperation.
Establishment of a permanent representative office of ECSDA in Brussels is one of the questions settled during the meeting of the European Central Securities Depositories Association. Accordingly the annual fee has increased and now equals 14,5 thousand Euro for each ECSDA member. Obtaining observer status AECSD is a timely decision for AECSD and gives a good opportunity to participate in ECSDA activities.
The permanent representative of the Association's Secretariat (NDC, Russia) represents AECSD interests in the European Central Securities Depositories Association. The permanent representative of the Association is approved by the Association Board Chair Bakhytzhan Kapyshev.
The next General Meeting and Board of Directors of the European Central Securities Depositories Association will take place on:
- May 22, 2008, Antalya, Turkey
- September 18, 2008, Vienna, Austria
The resolution letter of ECSDA General Meeting will be sent to AECSD Chair-in-Office.
