AECSD conducts online webinar Operational Issues and New Services

On 26 November 2025, the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) held an online webinar on Operational Issues and New Services. The webinar provided a forum for Association members to share their experiences, discuss current issues in the depository sector, and present new products and services being developed this year.

The webinar was opened by Dr. Ekrem Arıkan, Chairman of AECSD, Chairman of WFC, Chairman and Board Member of the Central Securities Depository of Türkiye (MKK).  He underscored that consistent meetings were important for adjusting key matters and advancing together in the financial market's evolution.

One of the sessions focused on settlement operations, during which Ovilla Marshafeni (KSEI), a settlement operations specialist, spoke about expanding the capabilities of market infrastructure and enhancing the efficiency of cash management models within the central securities depository ecosystem. The topic of settlements was also addressed by Setenay Yağanoğlu, Director of Depository Services (MKK), who spoke about the settlement functions and depository services of the Turkish depository.

The International Relations Department of the Central Securities Depository of Iran presented the outcomes of the depository's digitalisation and the Justice Shares scheme.

Vibrant discussions were sparked by the presented products and customer experience practices, which are central priorities for all depositories. The Central Securities Depository of Türkiye shared new data services: a data analysis platform and GEFAS. National Settlement Depository highlighted the role of the NSD in developing the collective investment market in Russia, while the Central Securities Depository of Kazakhstan presented a case study on issuing digital signatures for onboarding foreign clients in Kazakhstan.
